Early Childhood [Birth – 3 Years Old]

Middle School [11am service only]

Family’s Ministry is far more than just just childcare at RHHB. Each weekend, our kids participate in an amazing, interactive environment where they encounter God in real and tangible ways

Our goal is to grow spiritually healthy families in and through RHHB. We would like to foster a new generation of kids that have active relationships with God and who are looking for ways to bring the kingdom of God here and wherever life takes them.

Core Values

We believe that to grow spiritually healthy families, parents must be equipped to be the primary nurturers of their kids’ faith [Deuteronomy 6], that the faith community needs to play a supportive role in this endeavor [Ephesians 40], and that we must remain dependent on the Holy Spirit to bring about spiritual growth and formation when and as He chooses [Philippians 2:13].

What We Teach

Our curriculum is a dynamic, spiritually-forming, and family-empowered ministry philosophy that offers a vibrant weekend experience, as well as other family resources that meet the specific needs of today’s generation. Our curriculum is uniquely developed to inspire, equip, and support parents and volunteer/leaders in their ministry to children.

Our Families Team strongly believes that spiritual development can and should begin from the earliest age with parents as the primary nurturers of their children’s faith. With this in mind, our resources support both the church and home with a focus on knowing God personally, igniting a passion for Christ, learning to listen to His Spirit, keeping Biblical content true to context, and cultivating a concern for people’s needs in our communities and the world.

Our Team

Emily Van Herk oversees our Family Ministries at RHHB. Along with a small army of volunteers, Emily directs and implements our vision to grow spiritually healthy families in and through RHHB.

Families Serve Teams

As we mentioned, it takes a small army of people to minister to our kids each weekend and to shepherd them in hearing God’s voice. These teams put Jesus’ love on display in our classrooms through teaching, creative expressions, games, and more.
