We are all broken…every single one of us. Many of us either define ourselves by our brokenness or we completely deny it. We may try to hide from our struggles or try to fix them on our own and often wind up in even more pain when our efforts fail. That’s because we weren’t designed to solve our problems alone.
Refuge, our recovery ministry at RHHB, is a safe place where we can honestly and confidentially share our lives with people who care. We are a community of individuals who once felt alone and defeated, but are now helping one another move towards health and healing.
Our effort is modeled after the ministry of reconciliation described in Paul’s second letter to the church in Corinth. Paul says that “all this is from God, who reconciled us to himself through Christ and gave us the ministry of reconciliation.” [2 cor 5:18]. Our intention is to be a place where men and women are restored to what God intended them to be, and having experienced this reconciliation, would then help others do the same. We utilize many tools in this effort including Biblical teaching, worship, open share groups, 12 step studies, art therapy, and other curriculum based experiences.
Because we are a church of campuses, many of our ministries are based out of our Central campus in Costa Mesa. Refuge is one of those ministries:

HOW IT WORKS
During the first hour, we enjoy teaching, testimony, and music together. During the second hour, we break up into issue-specific groups. You are welcome to simply show up and attend the gathering from 7–8 pm or the open share groups from 8-9pm, though we encourage you to check out both.
